About Louie

COURTESY POST FOR ADOPT ME RESCUE Louie is a darling little Maltese weighing just 6.6 pounds and is between 8 or 10 yrs old not sure his exact age. He certainly doesn't act very old. Louie was rescued from a severe neglect where he was found emaciated and starved nearly to death. Louie was so severely matted and tangled that he was not able to walk or move very well. Louie was brought to the shelter weighing only 3.2 pounds and was extremely weak and fragile. After being treated for some medical conditions and having a dental procedure, Louie is now doing great! He did lose all his teeth so he's a toothless wonder which doesn't stop him from eating. Louie takes 3 medications daily and eats a prescription diet. Louie has an outgoing and friendly personality, he is sweet and affectionate and welcomes guests into the house buy jumping in their laps. He is potty trained, loves to play, and enjoys taking walks around the neighborhood. Louie also enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard and playing with toys. He loves other dogs and would be great with children. Louie does not shed, and enjoys being brushed and pampered.
