About Optimus

Welcome Optimus to CCPAL. He is a 1-year old Beautiful American Bulldog/Pitbull cross. This boy is HANDSOME!! He has the most gorgeous brindle coat. He was a part of a cruelty investigation. His owner was seen repeatedly beating Optimus. The County was called to step in and Optimus was removed. The man was charged with animal cruelty. The Animal Control officer asked the man why he did it and we were told he said because he felt like it. The great thing is Optimus loves people and is a happy-go-lucky dog. He is very kind and just to be sure the City had their trainers work with him to make sure he was not damaged by the ordeal and to verify his temperament. This just speaks volumes for the kindness and resilience of this breed. They have gladly released him to CCPAL for adoption into a new loving home. Optimus gets along well with other dogs. We are working on his leash skills. He pulls when he sees something interesting to play with. He would make a wonderful family companion. He would be best with a man or woman who is strong and has handled a larger dog. He looks to his human for direction and wants to do what you are asking. He weighs about 70 pounds and may weigh 80 pounds full grown. He is healthy, up on his shots and ready for his forever home. His adoption fee is 250 and transport is 185.
