Looking for a cute, sweet, old man to snuggle with this winter? Then Hanzel, the dearest of dogs, is a match for you! He will be easy peasy to care for. Hanzel is a super laid back, low-maintenance 11-year old red pit bull located in Manchester, NH. Having recovered from cancer surgery, he is now ready for adoption or long-term fostering. A perfect day for Hanzel involves a nice walk and comfy couch. He doesn't pull on the leash and is manageable walking past other dogs. He'll be the perfect companion to watch TV with. Though he is blind in one eye, he has enough vision to enjoy Animal Planet. Hanzel loves being with people in a real home, but it's time he feels the security of a forever family. Volunteers have fostered him overnight and he's behaved wonderfully - doesn't beg for food, sleeps through the night, is housebroken, and greets familiar visitors. He likes his own space at times, but will go to people and offer a paw. Hanzel prefers to meet people one-on-one with slow introductions. He can be particular about other animals, so Hanzel will be the only pet in the home. No cats, dogs, or young kids. If you'd like to change Hanzel's life and improve your own at the same time, contact Mary Lou at [email protected]. If you are interested in fostering, you must live near Manchester.
