About Achilles

Achilles is a purebred 8 month old Red Nose Heeler (no papers, cost was extra, we paid $300.00). His name is a Play on words, when you say Achilles heel, it's cute. He is very much in the puppy stage, loves to run, jump, snuggle and eat everything in site. He needs proper training and exercise! We adopted Achilles from breeder in Oregon as my husband has PTSD & wanted a companion, he traveled 12 hours for him. We have struggled endlessly and have come to a decision that this breed is not for our home since we are unable to give him the life he deserves. He is super active and protective. Achilles is loving and well behaved when kids are not home. When they are, all Achilles wants to do is play, be apart of the pact. Achilles gets along with our cat and my mothers very old female dog. He is great with our young children but lacks the restraint when excited. Achilles is an amazing dog, we are not the right fit for him and he deserves more. He loves us so much and we love him. My son is over the moon with Achilles and they sleep with each other. It's a sad day when you have to make the decision to part the child from his playmate,his loyal confident, his pal. Achilles is a part of our family and always will be, he is so special. We are looking for a family that will give him all the life we can not. Achilles knows basic commandments. He does well on a leash but again is protective. He is wonderful when traveling in a vehicle. He needs to be socialized outside of the home, to be on the range running or on trails. Furthermore he is not neutured, we thought he was but only found out recently, as they have just dropped. I hope we can find you as Achilles needs you.
