Meet Precious Penny! She's one of the sweetest and most loveable dogs you'll ever meet. This highly intelligent girl is a 7-year old, 40-45-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull mix located in Arlington, MA. She is spayed, vaccinated, crate-trained, and housebroken. If you enjoy being affectionate with your pet, she's an expert cuddler who won't let you down! Are you looking for a friendly dog? One you can take anywhere? Precious Penny checks all the boxes. She loves everyone she meets - people, kids, and nice dogs - and she loves going places, too. After so much change in so little time, her foster mom doesn't want her to get too comfortable. Precious Penny would enjoy accompanying you to work (just pay her in treats and toys). She can be placed in a home with young children 5 and up. We're not yet sure of cats, though. Precious Penny has a very strong play drive and needs a fenced yard. She loves to play all sorts of games such as keep-away, tug-of-war, and chase. She will work for toys and treats, and responds well to clicker training. She's a dog that can figure out what you want her to do. Also, she is unfazed by noises and distractions. Her back story: Precious Penny was sadly surrendered to a shelter by a homeless person. Soon after she attended several days of in-home training with a certified dog trainer where she worked on basic obedience, socialization, confidence-building, and proper walking.
