About Tanner

Tanner has been with my fiance and I since he was 8 weeks, he is now 2 years old. We are over the road truck drivers who live in very tight quarters. Tanner was never socialized with people or other dogs properly due to our lifestyle. Because of this, he tends to be very hesitant and iffy when it comes to having him around people or other dogs. He tends to immediately get defensive and acts aggressively. Also due to our living situation, he is not crate trained, but he is potty traine . He is very dominant and thinks he is the boss, so I would reccomend tanner going to live with a strong, single man who knows how to handle and train this breed of dog. Tanner knows a few tricks like sit, lay, paw, and high five. He is very food motivated. Reason we are putting tanner up for adoption is we dont have the time or lifestyle for tanner to be a good, well behaved happy dog that can run free and not live on a leash. We definitely did not do our due diligence or thoroughly think this through before getting a dog with our kind of lifestyle. I know tanner could be a great companion and protector for the right owner, and I would love for him to get the free dog life he deserves.
