About Franklin

Franklin is a very sweet dog. That being said, he has these random outbursts of aggression toward our other dogs. They seem to stem from territorial or dominance issues, and often end up with one of the other dogs bitten. It's as if his brain shuts off... it's often difficult to separate the dogs, but when it is over, Frank goes back to his sweet self. I hate that we have to even think about rejoining him, but we are very concerned for our other dogs. I feel like Franklin May be much better suited to an only-dog home. When we adopted him from Operation Kindness, we had 2 other dogs in our home- an Australian cattle dog mix and a Pomeranian. These dogs had and have never shown aggression. As we began seeing issues with Franklins behavior, as he got older, we sent him to a month-long training academy. This helped with his behavior, but not his outbursts of aggression. We have been struggling with this decision since the birth of our daughter, 4 months ago. While he has never shown aggression toward her nor our 5year old, we feel that the risks are too great.
