About Abner

Abner is just the most awesome boy! He has really come into his own! This boy came to us at almost a year old. Frightened, confused, but always kind. He had a loving family that cared for him, his siblings and parents outside until he was almost a year old. Abner has been making strides all this time in a loving foster home. The first step was to get him used to being touched by humans he didn't know without flinching. Second was to get him used to being in a carrier. He was stressed in them. Now he is fairly ok with everything. Being picked up is not his favorite thing. We are continuing to get him more and more used to that. However you can pick him up if needed. Honestly, it's not needed much because he is always seeking attention and loves knowing what's going on! Pets are most certainly on his favorites list! He loves wand toys too! Definitely a curious boy! If you meet him you will adore his almost silent meows hello! Not to mention he is just the cutest! Abner may be shy when you first take him HOME, but it won't take him long to get good and comfy! He really enjoys having cat friends! He has had minimal dog exposure too.
