Lupin is a handsome, playful, cuddly and loving, two-year-old, 55-pound (and gaining) male pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian. He is fantastic with teens and adults; best in a home without small children and cats. Lupin is well-behaved in the home, knows the commands sit, stay and leave it. During the day he is free all day in the home without a crate. At night, he sleeps in a dog bed on the floor in the bedroom. This sweet pup was found stray, and emaciated. We don't know where he came from, but he was 25 pounds underweight and his teeth were ground down as if he were chewing his way out of a cage, or off of a chain. His original owners were never found. Despite his poor treatment, he loves people, gives kisses and leans against you on the couch. Lupin is healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm-tested. He's looking for a home where someone has time to play ball with him and continue his training. His adoption fee of $175 benefits rescued pets. To meet and possibly foster or adopt Lupin, please fill in the adoption application at https://www.adoptapet.com/friendsofpetraits/adoption-application/ and follow up by e-mailing [email protected] He is currently being fostered in Chicago.
