About Pony Girl

This sweet pup is Pony Girl, and she is in need of a HERO! She is a 7 year old, 40 pound, blue pit bull mix. She was found wandering in the rain about six years ago, ridden with fleas and extremely malnourished. A Marine Corps Veteran took her in, and loved and cared for her until his unexpected death last month. They enjoyed a great companionship that included daily walks around Lake Ella and listening to live music together. They were also great fishing buddies! Unfortunately there are no other family or friends who can take Pony in, so we are hoping YOU can help! She is an excellent companion, and continues to be extremely exuberant and a big lover of people. If you're looking for a guard dog, she is not your girl, but if you're looking for a snuggle bunny, she would be perfect! Pony Girl has gotten along with most dogs she has encountered, but she has not had much interactions with them or cats, so supervised meet and greets would be needed. She also has not been around children, so again monitored meetings would need to be done. Pony has so much love to give, to anyone who will give her a chance!
