About Blue

Blue is a 5 year old beautiful pit mix. He is 100% vetted. He's neutered, up to date on vaccines, housebroken, heartworm negative. He weighs in at about 70 pounds. Blue is a very sweet boy and gentle soul. He has a low, even energy. He doesn't require a lot of exercise or maintenance. He's easy!! Blue had a very poor start to life. He had owners. At one time they cared enough to put some time into Blue. They taught him sit, paw and down. They crate trained him and got him housebroken. At some point that caring stopped. They stopped feeding Blue. He became emaciated. He was infested with flea and internal parasites, that fed off what little body he had left. They were killing him and essentially watching him die. He was brought to animal services. So anemic from the infestations, he was too weak to walk and couldn't regulate his own body temperature. Blue has made a complete recovery from all the ailments and is happy and healthy in our rescue. Blue is very sweet and loving and the perfect friend you could ask for. Blue does need to be the only dog and we are recommending to children under the age of 12 because he does get a little grabby and mouthy. Blue is the PERFECT people dog.
