About Rollo

Meet Rollo! Rollo is not only one of the softest dogs ever but so inquisitive that he loves to turn his head at any question you ask him! Rollo is an almost 10 week old mixture of Pomeranian and Maltese (and most likely a little Chi) who feels like a powder puff and loves to play and cuddle! Having only seen the Mom we and the size he is now we are guessing he will not be more than 10 pounds. Rollo and his sister Dottie (also listed separately for adoption) came from a home in Tulare, CA in a rather rough neighborhood. Her owner took as good care of the puppies as she could afford and it was an accidental litter with her dog and the neighbor's dog. (Mom is getting spayed). We were unfortunately only able to get the last two but they were immediately happy, well adjusted and playful. Rollo is in a private foster home that includes large dogs and small as well as a cat and kids. He loves to play but is also very eager to be with his human. He is good in the car and just wants to be on your lap. His adoption fee includes: 1. Current vaccinations 2. Neuter (when he is old enough per the terms of our adoption agreement) 3. Rabies when he is old enough 4. Deworming 5. Microchip 6. Grooming 7. Collar and leash 8. Starter food An adoption fee applies. As we prescreen via email ONLY (we do NOT make or receive phone calls in the pre-screening phase) please tell us a bit about you such as: 1. Your lifestyle, activity level and work schedule. 2. Area you live in and if it is a house or apartment. 3. How many adults, children and pets in the household. 4. Where your pet stays when you are out or at work. 5. Where your pet will sleep. Some notes to consider before applying for Rollo: 1. Rollo is a puppy and as being such she will not continued training in the areas of housebreaking and manners to insure she will be the best canine citizen possible so please make sure everyone is on board with the time and commitment it takes for a puppy. 2. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER. 3. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. We try to answer every email but it is not always possible. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
