About Gracie

Gracie is a stunner, isn't she? She has that effortless elegance of the 1950's Hollywood movie stars �'�|I'm thinking of Audrey Hepburn, Jean Harlow, Natalie Wood and Grace Kelly! JUST LOOK AT HER IN HER PEARLS! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Adopt her and she will be the star of your heart and home. The best part is, she won't hog the bed because she prefers to sleep in a crate, on a cushion or on the couch! To make Gracie your leading lady she needs to be your one and only (as she can be very dog selective.) Much smaller dogs don't get a rise out of her, but medium to large dogs seem to make her angry. She's probably worried they will steal the spotlight! She does better with male dogs versus female dogs. It is the opposite when it comes to her human companions though. Gracie is wary of most men she meets (but yet she loves my husband and daughter's boyfriend). She may growl and bark, so slow introductions are a must (which is always best practice with ANY dog) until she gains your trust. Giving her treats may help let her gain a man's trust. Gracie has a high prey drive, so no cats and better watch out for squirrels on walks. Despite her strength she walks well on a leash. Definitely no other four-legged housemates, no dog parksand no small children. Gracie loves long walks in the afternoon, but is not a fan of the rain. She (usually) sits for Milkbone biscuits and other treats and takes them politely (but sometimes that 'wiggle-butt' gets the best of her and she needs multiple sit commands.) She used to take pills with meatballs, so she loves them as a special treat! (Wonder if she it Italian?She does have that dark olive complexion) She gets very happy and excited at meal times (but, hey�'�|don't we all! LOL!) Gracie is spayed and has completed her heartworm treatment, plus she is up to date on all of her vaccines and monthly preventatives�'�|so she is just waiting for her next starring role in your family!
