About Lucky

This strikingly good looking boy is Lucky, an Australian Cattledog mix. He is about 2 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. Lucky knows his basics: sit, stay, off, go to bed (into his crate), and get in the car. He can me mouthy as a show of affection, so he also knows 'no bites' as a reminder. Lucky is crate trained. He has the beginnings of house training and will need a home that helps him understand the rules. Lucky is a fun guy. He absolutely loves to play fetch. He also likes to splash and play in the pool. He would make a wonderful adventure pal as he is good in the car and has some basic leash skills. He learns really fast, so it would be easy to polish up those leash skills. Lucky is affectionate with people. Because he is still young and mouthy, like a typical Cattledog, we won't place him with small kids. We think he is good with other dogs, too. He likes with a male Cattledog and a Silky Terrier and does fine. The other Cattledog is picking on Lucky, so Lucky needs a new home. Ideally his new home makes sure that the first few introductions to new dogs go smoothly so Lucky can feel confident that a new dog pal won't also pick on him. Lucky had a bad experience at the vet that wasn't Lucky's fault. Since he is smart and remembers, he now needs to wear a muzzle at the vet. Such a typical Cattledog! Lucky is a really nice dog. He learns rally quickly. He is affectionate. He likes people or all ages. He is ready for a home that will keep him busy and having fun. Lucky is neutered, microchipped, and he is up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Temecula, CA. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
