About Nikki (& Marley)

Yorkie
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

UPDATE BIO: 12/04/19. Hi everyone, We are getting ready for Christmas, and hope to find out forever home for that special day. We have been Christmas shopping. we love to go out where ever our foster mom goes. We had a trip over Thanksgiving and that was VERY fun. Mom told us we had to be on out best behavior. We did not even have any accidents in the house. We are still working on that, but we usually can wait until mom takes us out. We had a lot of company, and everyone told us how cute and well behaved we are. Out foster mom was SO proud of us. No one that visited could believe we were 10 years old. She said that someone might want to adopt us at Christmas, for a perfect present for a yorkie lover.. Marley LOVES to run and play outside, and they both love chewies. They do not have many teeth, but that does not stop them. They are eating and sleeping well. Nikki does not leave my side. They do not appear to be as old as indicated on the adoption papers. They are both full of like and anxious to learn new things. They love life! Although they are a pair, it does not seem like more than 1 dog because they hang out together all of the time. Their personalities compliment each other, and they would be a wonderful pair. 10/13/19: I have been at my foster mom's home for a couple of weeks now, and I am really starting to feel comfortable. I have been to the vet, and had some surgeries so I never have to have any more babies. :-) What a relief!! It seemed like I was a puppy-making machine. I also had some ugly lesions on my back, so I had those removed also. I am getting all spiffed up for my forever home. I have gotten so brave this week. I left my safe place on the couch, and ventured out into the kitchen where my foster mom works. At first it was a little scary, but then I went over to her, and she picked me up. I noticed that my foster brothers also like to hang out in the kitchen with my mom. My brother Marley likes to sit on the kitchen chair, but I would rather sit on my mom's lap. I am looking for a forever home that has a nice couch, and a lap for me to sit in. 10/5/19: Since this adorable pair has been together all of their lives, they rely on each other for company and must be adopted together. Their initial vet visit indicates their overall health is very good, however they will need some additional vetting to have dentals, spays, and neuters completed before they become adoption ready. Both are responding well in their foster home and coming out of the shell. Marley is very high energy and requires several walks a day, while Nikki is happy sitting on the couch and relaxing. Marley and Nikki will require a home without any children. They are both very lovable and like to be near their humans. A perfect home would involve a work from home or retired couple. Both are currently working on potty training. Marley and Nikki's future owner will need to continue patience with potty training. Preference is their new home has a secure fence as these two will be adapting to a new life in a loving home. Nikki is a very sweet girl. Her favorite place if the couch. She sits on it Initially she was fearful of humans, and would become stiff and tremulous, but now she will come up and want to be held. She will eat well if I feed her on the couch. That is her 'Safe place'. Nikki will be going for some surgery this month. She has a number of lesions (about 6-7) that need to be removed. The vet does not think they are cancerous, but states they are a risk for rupturing. She wants to be in tip top shape when she goes to her forever home! She also has a number of loose teeth, so they will need to pull those when she has her dental. She will also be spayed if she is doing well under anesthesia.
