About Marley (& Nikki)

Yorkie
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

UPDATE BIO: 12/04/19. Hi everyone, we are getting ready for Christmas and hope to find our forever home for that special day. We have been Christmas shopping. We love to go out wherever our foster mom goes. We had a trip over Thanksgiving and that was LOTS of fun. Mom told us we had to be on out best behavior. We did not even have any accidents in the house. We are still working on that, but we usually can wait until mom takes us out. We had a lot of company, and everyone told us how cute and well behaved we are. Our foster mom was SO proud of us. No one that visited could believe we were 10 years old. She said that someone might want to adopt us at Christmas, for a perfect present for a yorkie lover.. Marley LOVES to run and play outside, and they both love chewies. They do not have many teeth, but that does not stop them. They are eating and sleeping well. Nikki does not leave my side. They do not appear to be as old as indicated on the adoption papers. They are both full of like and anxious to learn new things. They love life! Although they are a pair, it does not seem like more than 1 dog because they hang out together all of the time. Their personalities compliment each other, and they would be a wonderful pair. UPDATE BIO: 11/01/19. My foster mom says that my sister are I are ready to go to our forever homes. She says it will be even nicer than here, but I can hardly imagine that. I get along well with my foster brothers. Although I do not really like playing with toys, I love chewing on jerky sticks, even though I do not have many teeth! My foster mom also makes REALLY GOOD food, so I gobble it up. She says that I need just a little more meat on my bones. I have a lot of energy, so we go for several long walks each day. I am more relaxed and get into less trouble when I have been out on a walk.It is getting cold, so I do not enjoy them as much as I did before. My sister is the 'princess' and I am the 'clown.' My foster mom and her friends are always laughing at my antics. If you are looking for some good laughs, give my foster mom a call! Update 10/13/19: I really like living at my foster mom's house. She says that I am going to get to go to another house where I will stay forever. She says it will even be better than here, but I can't believe that. I love it here! I have a lot of energy, so mom and I go out for several long walks each day. I was a country dog, but now I am a city dog and I LOVE, I mean LOVE all of the smells. I have to keep walking or mom gives me a little tug. She does let me stop for a sniff here and there. Next week I have to go for some surgery. Mom is hoping that it will help me stop marking in the house. She does not like it, but I just can't help it. I want everyone to know I have been here! I don't like to stay in the pen when my mom goes to work, but she thinks I will get into trouble if she leaves me out. One day I got to stay in the pen with my foster brothers, and that was really fun. I only get to do that if my sister is not around. Mom says that 4 dogs in 1 pen is too much, so I stay in one with my sister Nikki. We are the best of friends, and are looking for a home that can take both of us. We have been together my whole like, and I think I would miss her if we did not go together. Keep tuned, and I will let you know about my surgery in a week or so. Initial Bio 10/5/19: Since this adorable pair has been together all of their lives, they rely on each other for company and must be adopted together. Their initial vet visit indicates their overall health is very good, however they will need some additional vetting to have dentals, spays, and neuters completed before they become adoption ready. Both are responding well in their foster home and coming out of the shell. Marley is very high energy and requires several walks a day, while Nikki is happy sitting on the couch and relaxing. Marley and Nikki will require a home without any children. They are both very lovable and like to be near their humans. A perfect home would involve a work from home or retired couple. Both are currently working on potty training. Marley and Nikki's future owner will need to continue patience with potty training. Preference is their new home has a secure fence as these two will be adapting to a new life in a loving home. Marley had a trip to the vet, and was very cooperative. He will need to be neutered as well as have his teeth cleaned. Currently he has some trouble chewing, but that does not deter him from enjoying his meals! He is wearing a belly band at all times, as he will mark everything in the house. However, when we go out on walks, he is a very good walker, and does not stop to mark. We are hoping that this will decrease once he is neutered. He gets along well with his foster brothers.
