About Spanky

This little guy was at the pound. I got him pulled before he ran out of time!!! SPANKY is an approximately 1 1/2 year old terrier mix of 33 lbs and he is full grown. Staff says he is super sweet with all people and has been really good with other animals there. He is now neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He was tested negative for Heartworms and started on preventative. He has been good with my 3 year old son and all the people he has met since being rescued. He would really love a home where he could be with someone a lot. He longs to be near you and breathes a deep sigh of relief with a gentle touch. I think a home with kids or a retired family or a truck driver would be a great fit for him. It seems people have really let this guy down in the past and he seems to have had no previous training. He is now doing well on a leash and in a crate and learning basic commands. He is very sweet but has strange mannerisms and is learning personal boundaries with other dogs. He is not agressive in any way but his odd mannerisms, playful puppieness and lack of social skills can tend to trigger other dogs in our pack so we are keeping him with our more gentle kiddos at playtime.
