About Ellie

Welcome Ellie to CCPAL. She is beautiful Harlequin Great Dane. She is 80 pounds and is a good weight. I think the female Great Danes are typically smaller than the males. She looks like a pure-bred Great Dane. We have no papers but just by looking at her features you can tell she is very close to a pure Dane. She was found on the streets of Schertz and she was skin and bones. She was full of fleas (all clean now) and given great food and now she is ready for her forever home. She is 20 months old (almost 2 years). She is gentle on a leash and potty trained. She is heartworm negative and up on her shots. She is good in a home with cats and dogs. She does raise her lip when another dog gets near her dish. She does call down when you call her down. We assume she had to fend for herself on the streets and she still watches her dish. She is a wonderful dog and we would love someone familiar with a large dog or familiar with the Great Dane breed. She doesn't need mounds of exercise and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. We would suggest kiddos 7 or older to be with Ellie. She can be with another dog but monitored feeding or feed separately. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont and all along the East Coast.
