About Dorothy

Dorothy took the yellow brick road all the way from AL to PA to be united with the furever family! Dorothy is a 1 yr old, 45 lb hound mix that is cat/dog friendly. She is very timid in new situations and around new people but is becoming more comfortable in her foster home as time goes on. She is easily frightened but has never shown any aggression and is working hard to overcome her tough past. Another dog in her furever home to help her get comfortable would be ideal. Once she does warm up to you she is a huge cuddle bug and snorts when she gets excited. Dorothy is housebroken and does well in her crate. She is also up to date on vaccines and is spayed. She is being fostered in Windsor, PA. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $300 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $350 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
