About ELOY

SAY HELLO TO ELOY! Eloy is a beautiful light eyed 1 year old liver and white coated Shih Tzu boy. Weighing in at just 7 pounds, Eloy came to us through the Eloy Animal Shelter. Eloy is by far the most adorable Shih Tzu in our rescue. He is playful and happy and has the most carefree, loving, easy going temperament so typical of the Shih Tzu Breed. When he came to us through the Eloy shelter, he was in horrendous condition. He holds no grudges and lives each day as a brand new one with vim and vigor. His tiny size makes him easy to carry around and take with you everywhere. Eloy would love a family of his own who he can entertain and be interactive with. He is truly a joyous dog who anyone would be proud to call their own. His ideal family will have a home that is a single story as Eloy has a very hard time with stairs. He actually rolled down the stairs of his foster home twice and landed thankfully onto the pillow. His legs are pretty short. Also, a well walled and secure yard is mandatory because even though he is always supervised outside, he can squeeze through fences easily. It will be required that his family has a fence that he can't get through. Eloy loves to be outdoors with you with the sun on his face. He has gotten the hang of walking on his leash and greets everyone with a smile and a tail wag. He loves to be with his people and being cuddled! Eloy is very social and his new family must have a dog of like size and loving personality for companionship. He is very playful and very much loves his soft toys. Eloy is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go. Please note that like all rescues, he will need gentle guidance and patience as he learns his new family's routine. Eloy rides politely in the car and greets all he meets with a smile and a tail wag. He takes in all the sights and sounds! Eloy's family will be adults or adults with kids over the age of 10 who have experience, gentle hands and respect for small dogs like Eloy. Eloy is a longer coated breed that will require regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. Eloy's adoption fee is $ 575.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Eloy will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
