SAY HELLO TO SWIFTER ! Swifter is an adorable laid back approximately 10 year young Chihuahua / Terrier mixed senior boy. Weighing in at just 7 pounds, Swifter is a quiet little man who found him self lost during a storm 5 months ago and his owners were never found nor do we believe they were looking. He is quiet, tiny and very endearing. He LOVES to see you but NEVER demands anything from you. He's not a barker and gets along with everyone. He does not interact much with other dogs but doesn't mind them either. He would be great in a home with someone who has a quiet home and wants a pet who is stable and easy to keep. He does have a fear of thunderstorms but he is HOURS ahead of the weatherman in letting you know one is coming! He often wants comfort and will ask to crawl in bed with me when it is storming. He has no health issues and has had a professional dental while with us. His teeth were well cleaned, a small benign growth was removed and all of his labwork was good. Swifter does well with the house training, however please note that like all rescues, he will need gentle guidance and patience as he learns his new family's routine. He is leash trained, rides politely in the car and greets all he meets a little shyly but always with a smile and a tail wag. Swifter's family will be a quiet easy going home with adults or adults with kids over the age of 12 who have experience, gentle hands and respect for small dogs like Swifter Swifter is a longer coated wirey breed that will require regular brushing as well as professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. Swifter's adoption fee is $ 225.00 This fee includes his Veterinarian Wellness checks while here at the rescue, his neuter, his dental and basic blood work, all vaccinations including rabies and bordatella, de-worming, a pre-adoption professional groom and a microchip with lifetime membership. Swifter will also have a new collar and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality grain free kibble that he has been eating. His adoption fee also allows us the ability to put funds towards the next little one in need of rescue!
