About Mistletoe - Only $45!!

MISTLETOE (Chantilly Tiffany) - AVAILABLE!!! HE NEEDS A SPONSOR! Only $45 adoption!!! This sweetheart was surrendered to a local shelter as a stray when he was a kitten. While at the shelter, he showed fear, so that landed him on their euthanasia list. That is when Safe Haven stepped in & we took him in along with his whole litter. He was brought here, socialized, and put up for adoption. He was adopted out to a great couple, but they have an older female cat that didn't accept Mistletoe. The couple tried everything they could, & loved him very much, but ended up having to return him. Meet and greets for 2 cats are hard, as cats are generally very scared at the time, and it is hard to assess if they will get along.... Mistletoe is from the same litter as Merry and KissMe, and he was the most laid back of all the kittens. He has a soft, quiet, gentle energy. He is a super sweet affectionate little man. He is actually the most affectionate cat I have ever met! He rubs up against, and weaves in and out of your legs and gives kisses. He does it to the other cats too. He is an absolute lovebug! He also loves all toys and will play with just about anything (gingle balls, wand toy, etc...) Birthday: 8/19/17 Weight at last Vet visit: 5 lbs (he is probably about 10 lbs now. He is not a very big guy...) Cats: Yes, he is good with other cats and wanted to go up and greet them when he was here. He was friendly with all the cats here that were friendly with him. He's very sweet. But if they hiss at him, he will hiss back. He seems to reflect how the other cat acts towards him. The previous adopters had a friend who wanted Mistletoe, and they brought him over to their friends house to see if the cats got along, and they got along well. They were unable to adopt him though because the landlord had a 2 pet limit & would not allow a 3rd. He has been around them while here & is getting used to them. Large Dogs: Keeps his distance and watches. He has been around them while here & is getting used to them. Kids: Unknown, but he is very affectionate with people & I imagine him to be great with kids. Men: Sweet, loving and friendly Women: Sweet, loving and friendly Strangers: Keeps his distance and watches. Food: I feed all the cats on a rotational diet. Which means they get a different brand of high quality food each month. I do this because I do not think that one brand can provide all the nutrients that they need. Just like one food can't provide us with all that we need...Plus, who wants to eat the same thing every day? He has a full bowl of dry food out all the time. He's a great eater and has eaten everything I've offered him. I also occasionally give him treats such as canned Mackerel. Litter Box Trained: Yes, I use the scoopable litter. Scratch Pad Trained: Unknown, there is a scratch pad in the kitty room, but I do not know who uses it and who doesn't. I use the cardboard type that lays flat on the floor. I refresh the scratch pad every month by spreading fresh catnip on it. Other issues: None, he's wonderful! Here is a video about the breed.
