Elliott Peabody, Esquire is 4 yr old, 25 lb, male, dachshund/beagle mix. He's an easy, good-natured, low maintenance guy who really appreciates a good belly rub & tries very hard to please. He's good with dogs (altho he's protective of his food & sometimes toys - not w humans, just w dogs). He's also good with kids. Cats unknown. He's gentle & affectionate, no aggression or prey drive. After being hit by car & found, he was taken to Delano Animal Shelter. A supporter covered his pelvis surgery & pins in his hind legs. He is improving steadily. He will probably always have a lopsided gate but it's part of his charm. A home with little to no stairs would be best (or blocked off with baby gates). We are working on his house training, but he does use the doggy door. This wonderful little guy is looking for his forever home.
