About Barnaby

He needs a little time to warm up to people, but once he feels comfortable, he will be your shadow and love you forever! He's a pretty mellow guy who is easy to train and is perfectly happy napping beside you when it's time to relax. Barnaby is well behaved, does not get on furniture and has learned to relax in another room while his foster parents have dinner. He has also learned to sit and wait while his meals are prepped before being released to eat. Barnaby enjoys playing with toys, running around the backyard and chewing on a bone once in a while. Barnaby is estimated to be 4-6 years old and weighs 60 lbs.; he is housebroken, crate trained (but doesn't need it) and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lay down, wait, shake and yes. He loves his walks and does well on a leash, but can get distracted when seeing other dogs, so a little further training would be helpful. Barnaby can live with another mellow dog, with the proper introduction, but is not great at sharing toys with his foster sister, so he may do best as the only dog in the home. Older children would most likely be fine, as long as they gave him time to adjust to them.
