About Max

Max is a super playful, energetic goofball. He loves to play with toys and with people and would be a great hiking companion. He is also great in the car and would be a wonderful pet for someone with big dog experience looking for a fun boy. He absolutely LOVES other dogs and would love to live in a home with another big dog, or a few big dogs, as he is currently in foster with 4 dogs (male and female). He has absolutely no guarding issues with other dogs and lives with them very well. Max is crate and house trained. He has a bit of a prey drive so would do better without cats or small dogs. Max is also very fond of human companionship and will snuggle on the couch and is very affectionate and makes the best little heater in the winter in your bed or on your couch :) very focused and trainable, very smart. He knows place, sit, down, and walks well on leash. we would like a large fenced yard for this guy, or someone who likes to be out in nature with their dogs a lot. He will initially alert you to strangers but recovers quickly. Currently in foster in Fairfield CT
