About Pita

Pita has traveled a very long way to find his forever home. Born in Israel, he was taken into foster care there when he was found along with his siblings after their mom had died. His foster mom brought him here to Arizona when she moved, when the rescue there wasn't able to find him a home. He has finally settled after traveling and he is ready to find his forever home. He's 16 mths old, and weighs about 65 pounds and is full grown. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is a highly intelligent dog that learns quickly, so we are looking for a person/family that will challenge him with games, teach him, and engage with him. He has good leash manners, and LOVES being outside, especially running on a long lead. He's an active dog and will flourish with an family or person that will make him a part of their daily lives. Once at home, he settles very nicely. While he does well with other dogs, its people he loves. He can be apprehensive when first meeting,however he quickly warms up, and will become your bestest friend. Due to size, energy and his desire to be left alone while eating we are looking for a family with kids 15 and older. The adoption contract you will be signing specifically states that you agree to NEVER use any aversive methods nor tools like a shock, prong or choke collar. Please, consider everything when making a decision to adopt a dog. As part of your adoption package, each dog will be fully vaccinated (Da2PP, Rabies), have a microchip, and be spayed/neutered. You may need to come back to us to complete shots, spay or neuter, hw test. You will receive 6 mths of HW preventative.You will receive a free bag of premium dog food, as well as a gift card from Choice Pet Market if you live in one of the designated zip codes. Training is MANDATORY and will be scheduled at a later date and place.
