About Ellis

Ellis is handsome and bionic! We pulled this little guy from a high kill shelter in TN and he had a broken leg. We took him to an orthopedic surgeon who fixed and saved his leg! So needless to say Ellis is currently a bit of a wildman after being on crate and leash restriction for so long, he is just now getting to learn how to play and interact even though he is now 6 months old and just over 25 lbs. Hard to say what his mix is but we think there is some cur and maybe some hound in there. We think that he will be medium sized when full grown. He is kind of all legs at the moment .. lol. I can tell you he is fun and playful and sweet as he can be. His ideal family will have a physically fenced yard and at least one other young doggy friend for him to play with. Kids would be great if 8 or older due to his exuberance, might be too much for little ones. He loves to curl up on your lap at night. He is crate trained and we are actively working on potty training, but it will need to be something that continues to be worked on in his new home. Ellis is up to date on his vaccines, neutered, micro chipped, on heart worm prevention and flea and tick. Ellis is currently located in Tennessee and the adoption fee is $250. Transportation may be available to out of state adopters for an additional cost depending on the area. The first step in our process is submitting the application.
