He is a cuddle bug whose owner wants to find him a place where he can 'get all of the belly rubs he deserves and enjoys the rest of the days of his life.' Coppack does awesome with everyone but small children which is why his owner is needing to find a new, loving home for him. He is so cute!! Check out the pics! Name: Coppack Age: 7 years old Sex: male (neutered - vet confirmed ) Breed: Coonhound/lab mix Location: Charleston, SC Vet Info: Coppack is confirmed neutered and up to date with his vaccines. He is next due for rabies and distemper on 10/25/22. He had his yearly exam and HW test on 10/25/19 which came back negative. His owner shared, 'Coppack is almost completely blind. He has dry tear ducts (for about 4 years) and it is treated with mineral oil and generic restates daily to keep him comfortable. He is still loosing his sight but have been told that his eyes will eventually need to be removed to avoid pain. He also has some skin allergies that tend to flare up during the change of seasons. He gets shots that seem to help relieve most of the aggravation. ' He weighs 65 pounds. Owner Info: Coppack is a handsome boy who is in need of a new home. His owner shared with us, 'First off, let me start by saying I love this dog so much. I really just want to find him a home where he can run with other dogs, get all of the belly rubs he deserves and enjoy the rest of the days of his life. Currently we are having to keep him separate from the family and that is just not fair to him.' Coppack is a little shy but super loveable! He is good with men, women, other dogs and cats. He currently lives with a black lab that he grew up with and also a cat that he gets along great with. Coppack is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. He is housebroken and leash trained. Coppack is a smart boy and knows commands such as, sit, stay and shake. He had some in home training as a puppy. Coppack is not possessive with treats, toys or food. He has shown some aggression to small children. His owner told us, 'He snapped at my daughter and niece before but has never bitten anyone or any other animals. I truly believe that most of it comes from his inability to see clearly and fear.' His owner feels that he would adjust fairly quickly saying, 'He is nervous at first but he tends to adjust quickly. We moved several times over the past couple of years and he has seemed to adjust quicker than my lab.' His owner wants us to know, 'He is a big cuddle bug that loves belly rubs & will lay on the couch for hours with you if you let him.' Please contact [email protected].
