About Sahara

Sahara is a dynamic young little lady who loves to play, play, run and play! Sweet Sahara was found wandering the streets of Houston where she was abandoned by her owner. She was fending for herself until some good-hearted person decided to bring her in until a loving home was found. Sahara was initially adopted into a home where she didn't get enough exercise and was frustrated. The other female dog in the home did not accept her. She was returned to her rescue in Houston where she currently is being boarded until another more suitable home comes along. Sahara would do best in a home where she is the only dog or Sahara would do best in a home where she is the only dog or a male dog. She is a little over 2 years old and weighs 60 pounds. She is fully vetted, spayed and micro-chipped. Sahara would be an amazing companion to an active person or family that loves the outdoors going hiking, anything around water, possibly a running partner. This pretty girl just needs someone who can exercise her enough to drain a little of her energy. Daily 30 to 60 minutes walks twice a day would also suffice. She likes to be included with outings. Sahara walks well on the leash. She is house- and crate-trained. She knows her commands. Sahara is very loyal and protective of her people. She will alert you if there is anyone around the house that doesn't belong there. Because of her high energy, Sahara would do best in a home with older kids that are 14 and up. She loves fetching balls and frisbees. So a nice big fenced yard she can play freely with her humans would be ideal.
