About Dave

Six months ago Dave was abandoned in a crate at a deserted house. Someone heard his cries and called Charlotte/Mecklenburg Animal Care and Control. He belongs to Animal Control but I have been fostering him for the past 5 months through his heartworm treatment and now he's ready to be adopted, all clear of heartworm! Dave is about 60-70 lbs, 2-3 years old, completely house broken, and he's crate trained. He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands such as sit, down, come, wait/stay, and leave it. He's still working on drop it, and is very treat motivated making him easier to train...stuffed Kong's are his favorite! Dave needs plenty of exercise so a fenced in yard would be ideal. He loves to fetch and play tug with a rope. He also likes walks and would make a great jogging partner! Dave loves people and bigger kids and would get along with bigger dogs but has not been tested with cats. If you would like to meet Dave, or have any questions about him, please let me know!
