About Lulu

Adoption Fee: $200
Bengal
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

I have had Lulu since she was a kitten. She's now about 6 years old. She is a beautiful cat with a lovely temperament. She loves to snuggle with you on the sofa, ideally under a blanket, and if you will let her in bed with you! I have 2 small children whose cuddles sometimes love her a bit too much (!) and she has never once shown them any aggression. She is a purebreed Bengal with champion bloodlines. I have her papers. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. The problem we have, and have tried for many years to resolve, is that being a Bengal she is dominant over our other cat. She stalks him when he comes out of the litter box and growls at him and this is making him miserable! She has sometimes peed where he has been sitting. We go through months and months where she doesn't do it at all, but can never really get the issue resolved. Trying to resolve cat dynamics has just become too tiring for us as we both work full time and have 2 small children. She loves to go outside and will meow loudly at the door to be let out and try to slip by us when we go out! We therefore let her out in the daytime and she comes in and out during the day, but almost always back by 6pm in the evening for her dinner. Our concern is that while we have a back yard she often wanders far and there are a lot of roads near us. I'm looking for someone with experience with Bengals, who will love her dearly, ideally with a safe place for her to go outside, and where she would be a single cat as I'm absolutely convinced the stalking and occasional lack of consistency with the litter box is the little leopard in her coming out to claim her territory! I know that this isn't uncommon for her breed. I would need to be entirely happy with her new home to let her go. For the right owners she will be a sweet, loyal and fun pet.
