About Tessie

Meet Tessie , she is a year and a half old she's Aussie/ Doxie mix and all of 25 pounds. Tessie was a feral dog with puppies and lived under a shed with another feral mama dog and had to be trapped . She has gone from rags to riches , her foster dad calls her the princess. Tessie is house trained , her foster family doesn't crate her, she stresses out if she gets crated. Her foster mom works from home a lot so she will need a family that works part time or from home . Tessie loves other dogs but prefers ones laid back to moderate energy as she is a couch potato most of the day and will play here and there. She also loves cats and will chase them only because one of her foster home cats plays with her and they chase each other through the house . Tessie is hoping for a home with a fenced yard and she must go to a home with at least one other dog she wouldn't do well as a single dog, she also loves to sleep and snuggle on the couch with you and she also wants to be able to sleep in a dog bed in her new families bedroom since she sleeps in her foster parents bedroom . She's doing well with her basic obedience and listens well also . Tessie is also good with kids but older kids preferred. She is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, on heartworm meds, and flea and tick preventative. Tessie has come very far in a very short time and , shes a very special girl .
