About Goggles

This gentle giant is Goggles! He is an adult Great Pyrenees mix with gorgeous green eyes and desperately needs a loving forever home! I am a volunteer at the Nuzzles & Co. Rescue Ranch where Goggles has been for about 6 months. He does have a some kind of bone disease that causes bowing in his back legs and he is on pain medication because of it. Despite his condition, he still runs and plays enthusiastically with other dogs and definitely loves life! I have personally fostered him in my own home on multiple occasions and he has gotten along extremely well with our two dogs (another Great Pyrenees and a smaller Carolina Dog) and 3 cats. We do not have hesitations bringing him into our home, but sadly do not have space for another large dog full time. The story I've heard on his surrender was that he showed some aggression towards his former owner but my family has not experienced this type of behavior. Because of his size and former owner's claims, the rescue is not actively trying to find him a home so you will not find him on their website. Like most Pyrenees, he will require a strong owner with the willingness to put in time to train. He loves being outside and should have a large yard. Goggles is such a sweet dog and it crushes me to see him be at the shelter for so long.
