Tank is not my dog; I am his emergency foster. His owner surrendered him to me at 9p last night. I met Tank when I was his Rover sitter. His rescuer stated that Tank was pulled from a neglect situation and that he adopted him at an event at a PetSmart in ATL. Tank is LOVING AND HYSTERICALLY SILLY! He is chonky and adorable. Because of his neglect situation, Tank has anxiety around food scarcity, so he can lash out at other dogs; for this reason, when I puppysat Tank in the past (& now as his foster), I feed him behind a closed door in a room separate from my 2 other dogs. I only reunite them when ALL dogs have finished their meal. Tank is skittish of people, but once he warms up (doesn't take long at all), all he wants is to be scritched. I would keep Tank myself, but I have 2 large rescues and live with Multiple Sclerosis.
