About Orphan Annie

Hello there! My name is Orphan Annie, and I'm a super-sweet, affectionate, initially shy, and beautiful 50-pound blonde Labrador mix gal who was born in November 2017. I'm great with all people except that I got overwhelmed by the little grandkids when they visited my foster home. I have quite a rescue story, and it may explain why I'm a little sensitive to my environment. I was found locked inside a stolen car after it had been sitting for two days in a parking lot. I was hungry and had obviously just weaned some puppies. The day that I was released from that car was the first day in the rest of my life. After living as a companion of a thief, suddenly I was showered with food and TLC. In fact, I initially showed separation anxiety at my foster home because I was afraid that I would be abandoned again. My foster mom testifies that I am the sweetest dog ever, despite the fact that I should be an 'only child' because I don't like other dogs or cats and am afraid of children under 10.
