About Witch Doctor

Hi! My name is Witch Doctor and I'm part of the 50s themed transport. I'm guessed to be a hound mix and I'm about 2 years old. I'm a sweet boy and I currently weight about 56lbs. I love meeting new people old and young. I have been curious, and polite with the cats I have met. I'm not so sure about other dogs. I will need long, slow introductions. I would do best as an only dog or with a more mature, and calm sibling. I seem to be more tolerant of dogs that are smaller than me. Since I'm a little bit older, I know the rules about crates and potty. I haven't had any accidents in my foster house. I see my crate as a safe haven. I love to lean in for a good pet. I'm learning how to play the sit and down games. I walk great on a leash with the harness my foster mom got for me. It's a lot easier than those collars that bump up against my ears. I love taking slow walks in the neighborhood and smelling all the smells. I enjoy playing with stuffed toys and ropes the most. I've traveled a long way to find my furever home. Is it with you? Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. The dog was treated for the disease prior to transport north. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH's heartworm coordinator.
