Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3. Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, or cash. Jinju Jinju is perhaps a Schipperke mix, roughly 14.8lbs, 2 years old, female she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, microchipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & dewormed twice & had a dental, scale & polish. How these babies end up in these horrific situations never ever seems to end & the cycle just keeps going & going. Beautiful Jinju was thrown away, left for dead at a factory out in the middle of know where in Korea & of course she was heavily pregnant. She ended up in a kill shelter & how emaciated she was, was beyond belief. All of her puppies were adopted & beautiful shy & frightened Jinju was left to die there until the wonderful Korean rescue went & saved her & treated her for heart worm & we were asked could we help her. Jinju was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Jinju & another friend were bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can't wait to find her new loving forever home & cherished as she should be. This little lady was deathly shy & extremely nervous & frightened at first when we brought her into the rescue, but who could blame her, she had been to hell & back. She was so emaciated & deathly skinny & only had the fur around her face & head & an odd tuff of fur when we got her. She along with us had our work, love & dedication & understanding ahead of us. Jinju's foster mum said she still would be shy at first when meeting new people but it doesn't take long once she comes out of her shell, she is very affectionate and will actually want attention, but on her terms. Because of the life shes had before Jinju does need a safe place to hide and will come out when she's comfortable.%A0%A0But she's a good eater and gets along with other dogs. Doesn't mind a crate although prefers hiding under the bed. Chasing her or loud noises makes her skittish and fearful.%A0 We have had Jinju around both men & woman to build up her confidence. She enjoys being kissed & held & adores dogs & being with other dogs so it's mandatory for her to have dog friends in her new forever home to play with & make her feel comfortable. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Jinju until she came into the rescue so we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & a warm bed, everything is new to Jinju since coming to the US.%A0 Jinju still needs to be taught to walk on a harness & leash which we are working on & she is getting used to going in the car but does still get a little nervous when riding in the car, but has been in the car several times. Jinju has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently fostered with other dogs so she must go to a forever home with other dogs present in the home as she absolutely adores dogs & finds comfort in them. Jinju is perhaps a Schipperke mix, roughly 14.8lbs, 2 years old, female she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, microchipped, up to date on her shots, heart worm negative & dewormed twice & had a dental, scale & polish. We have spent more financially on Jinju than her adoption fee covers, on rescuing her & transporting her, socializing her here along with her medical care & needs than her fee covers & does not come close to her costs we have spent on her & rescuing her. Jinju has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children & it's always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Jinju was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they thi
