About FOSTER/ADOPT URGENT

ROCKY IS IN NEED OF A FOSTER OR ADOPTER! CURRENTLY in Portland Oregon area. CAN BE FOSTERED OR ADOPTED IN OREGON OR SOUTHWEST/Mid WASHINGTON. Rocky is about a year old (late November). He would do best in a home with another dog as he's high energy and loves to play. He also loves to be a lap dog. He's not thrilled about being crated (he's much better about this now), but will chew if he's left alone uncrated, so ideally he will be in a home where people are around for a good portion of the day. No cats as he's too rough. He's not fully house trained, but again is pretty good on that front if you're around to take him out. He's fixed, chipped, current on core vaccines. He's about 60 pounds. No young kids out of an abundance of caution. He's a smart dog that needs a strong leader and will thrive with some guidance and training. He's very sweet and loved by those he meets along the way. He needs some leash work, but overall he is a good boy! He can jump fences, but he does it to get to his people. He has shown some tendencies to be protective of his people (only in some situations), but that seems to be mitigated if he's got a yard to run around in.
