Hunter is a loving, energetic 12 year old, 60 pound, neutered male rescue guard dog that I had ever since puppyhood. He is half German Shepherd, quarter Foxhound, quarter Dalmatian. My mother used to help me care for him and his sister but my mother is retired now and unable to keep up with both of them. My mother is keeping his sister but Hunter needs a new family to give him the attention and free space to roam as he deserves. I have since become disabled and have a service animal. As such, I cannot bring Hunter to my studio apartment, especially since he needs space to run off leash. Hunter is an excellent guard dog, as he will alert you when he hears unusual foot steps or cars that pull up to your house. Alas, Hunter had an injury earlier this year where he slipped and hurt his leg, and has since developed a phobia of smooth surface floors. We have rug runners so he can walk across at my mother's house but she demanded I re-home him to a new family who can give him the love he deserves and free space to roam. Other than his injury this year, he had a hot spot once but has always been healthy his entire life. He's a beautiful and good boy who knows how to sit, does not jump on furniture or chew, great guardian angel, and just needs love and space that neither my mom nor I can give anymore. Would you open your heart and home to this big sweet boy?
