[Read About Natural Seizure Care] I am a volunteer at the Isle of Wight County Animal Shelter in Virginia and authorized to contact you regarding a Chesapeake Bay Retriever that we have in our shelter. He came in as a stray on October 1 . On October 20 he went foster to adopt. The first night at the foster he had a seizure and was returned the next day. That night he also had a seizure in the shelter. He was seen by our vet but anti-seizure medication was not provided at that time. On Tuesday, November 12 after being seizure free since his return he had a cluster of seizures. He is now on anti-seizure medication and improving. Because of staffing and operating hours we are not able to provide the level of care this boy needs. We are seeking a rescue to pull him from our shelter and provide him the type of home that he deserves. He is approximately 5 years old, weighs 63 pounds and is heartworm positive. He has been my project dog at the shelter and he as sweet as can be. He is not dog aggressive and when around cats is more curious than anything else.
