We adopted Blake at 9 mos. from a local shelter, not sure what breed then. As he matured, became obvious he is an Australian Kelpie, probably purebred. Typical Kelpie -- high energy, herding instinct, needs a job. His early life is a mystery but caused him to be anxious of vet/kennel situations. He is a very loving dog and well-behaved in the house. But he can jump high and will run without recall if he escapes. Not good for a suburban life. We have chickens and he herds them beautifully, so would make a great farm/ranch dog.
