About Tessa

Tessa can't see you with her eyes but she can see you with her heart! Tessa is an 11 month old angel who came to us when she was a puppy. She was recently returned because the household was too busy for a blind dog. Tessa is looking for a calm home home. She can be a bit confused when she hears a lot of noise and can't see what is going on. Tessa really is an amazing dog! She is kind and smart and very loving! We adore her and know we can her an adopter that will too! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA (821 Town Center Drive Waynesboro, VA 22980) every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
