About Zena

Little Zena once had a home where she felt loved and safe, and she had kids who would play with her everyday. Zena loved her family and was happy, but over time Zena noticed the kids did not come and play with her as often. Little Zena didn't understand why her kids would stay away from her, she wondered if it was something she had done. She waited and waited, but they never came to play with her, only the grown ups came to give her food and water. She became very sad and started crying, but all she got was her grown ups yelling at her. Little Zena was all alone, until one day the grown ups came and picked her up, she was so excited she started wagging her tail. She was going for a ride, she had never been in the car before and was excited to see where she was going. They parked and took her out of the car and took into a building; her grown ups handed her to a lady and walked away. Zena was put into a kennel and left with some water and kibble. Zena's bed was gone, her toys were gone and her family was gone, she was all alone. She sat on the cold metal and cried. She had been dumped!! Zena began to shut down in the shelter and they reached out to Low Riders to help her out. We brought her to Colorado in hopes of finding her a new home. She is super sweet, but a little shy. She warms up quickly once she realizes that you are not going to hurt her. Zena is a very special little girl who truly deserves a warm home for the holidays. She is about 12 lbs and about 9 months old. If you would like to give Zena a home for the holidays, please fill out an application at www.lowridersofthewest.org We require the application, home and reference check and meet and greet with current pets and/or children in the home. Zena's adoption fee is $325.00 - she is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations and comes with a chip.
