**PLEASE READ HOOTIE'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING** Oh Hootie, you have got to be the cutest thing ever! Don't you agree? Hootie is our male 5 year old Pekingese boy who is about 16lbs. This cutie came to us when his owners moved back east and couldn't take him with them. No worries, because Hootie will make one family very very happy! We are looking for owners that are Pekingese savvy and have had the breed before. Pekes are known to be a bit grumbly and need extra care in the health and grooming department so an owner that is familiar with all these 'needs' is definitely a plus! Hootie can be an only dog, ONLY if you are home most of the day, work from home, or are retired. He CANNOT be home alone hours at a time. He has wonderful manners and can be a dog that you take everywhere with you. He is a bark talker, and boy does he love to talk! Hootie MUST be in a home with a yard. He cannot be an apartment or condo type dog. Hootie is water obsessed and loves to play in the sprinkler or with the garden hose as you water your plants, so we want him to have a yard where he can sunbathe or run through the sprinkler. Hootie is getting the hang of his potty training but does occasionally 'mark' so an owner that can work with him on this or is understanding that he needs patience and guidance in this department is a must. Hootie is good with kids, 12 years or older and seems to love everyone he meets! Let's find this special boy an equally special home! Hootie is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. WE ONLY ADOPT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AS AN IN PERSON HOME CHECK AND 1-2 WEEK TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED.
