About Gabriel-PENDING!

Gabriel is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in this shelter photo is how truly beautiful this dog is with his pure white coat and dark eyes that hold so much wisdom. Once this gorgeous guy gets a sudsy bath and grooming (we'll update on photos at that time) ...he will absolutely be one of the most adorable guys around. At just about 7.6 years old (such a great age..old enough to be past babyish behaviors and young enough to have many healthy and active years remaining) and at 16 lbs, Gabriel is a perfect size to accompany his family just about anywhere a very sweet, smaller dog is welcome. Gabe is every bit the happy-go-lucky and fun-loving guy. But at the same time he is a very well-behaved dog (once he's used to his environment) who is so sweet, very loving and a perfect full-time companion. Gabriel is very likely to express himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses of love for those that are kind to him. At this point in Gabriel's development, he loves almost everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Gabe to a family who expresses their pure love and respect for him in many different ways. We also feel Gabriel would be most comfortable with an adult family or one with older, dog-crazy kids where voices are softer and the energy is calmer. Right now, Gabriel is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Gabriel is so loving and pleasant that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than accompanying his favorite people on trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend), lap-sitting or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace is perfect for Gabe's personality. Gabriel is flexible enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance, he can succeed. Gabriel has the stunning coat and cottony-soft hair that speaks of his breed mix. He is a non-shedding guy (considered by many to be the most hypoallergenic mix available today) and will therefore require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a daily supplement of salmon oil would be excellent for coat care and longevity) to keep his hair cottony-soft, matt-free and very healthy.
