Introducing Buttons! This little baby is available for pre-adoption. He is a gorgeous little lynx point snowshoe siamese mix boy. His colors will continue to darken until he is 2 years old. He is about 3 weeks old on the date of posting (November 10) and will be ready to go home in a few weeks once he is old enough and big enough to neuter. We are taking applications for him now. He is currently being bottle fed. He was lucky to be whisked out of a high kill Southern Texas shelter (where they kill babies on intake) by one of our volunteer partners before his fate was sealed. What he lacks in size at the moment he makes up in personality! Minimum donation of $150 applies, representing a portion of his veterinary care and food. He is in New Braunfels, Texas but can travel to a new home most places in the US for the price of a travel crate/carrier (yours to keep), a few basic supplies and a veterinarian's interstate health certificate (total cost about $159, of which the health certificate is about $89). Transporation to most of the US can be arranged, but please note that we tend to prioritise instate adoptions and travel to the northeast and Midwest due to the number of volunteer drivers on those routes. We don't transport to Florida or California due to the numbers of homeless Siamese already in those states. It means a number of weeks/months, as yet undetermined, until he gets big enough and old enough to neuter in line with veterinary advice. Many small babies are older than they look and were stunted due to lack of food, and then with proper care they catch up with a growth spurt and grow huge very fast. We don't neuter tiny bottle babies.
