About Scout

Scout is a 5-year old lab who loves people and other dogs! Scout has a very easy-going temperament which allows her to adapt to new situations easily! Scout's favorite things to do are to play 'chase' with other dogs, play fetch with humans, and cuddle! I adopted Scout from a rescue in Minnesota, and soon realized, after many trips to the vet, that she had food- and environmental-based allergies. Her allergies were well-managed in Minnesota, where I gave her a strict, prescription-food-only diet. Since moving to Connecticut, though, her allergies have worsened. Managing her allergies requires many trips to the vet, monthly allergy injections, and vigilant supervision of her activity. Sadly, her medical care has exceeded my ability to pay and manage. I am looking for a new home for Scout so that she can be loved by a family who can cover her medical needs, and whose schedule allows for greater flexibility to attend vet appointments. The next step in Scout's care is to undergo allergy testing. This may be a helpful option for her in reducing her allergic reactivity! Scout is a GREAT dog, and always seems happy, despite her medical complications. She would be a great addition to any family!��%BD%A0
