About SIPOWITZ

Adoption Fee: $400
Persian
Age: Kitten
Sex: Male

SIPOWITZ is a one year old doll faced PERSIAN with a silky black coat and large orange eyes that rarely weep. This young man is perfect with his litterbox, loves to use his claws on cardboard scratchers and is a lover of both hard and wet food. Temptations treats make him a very very happy boy. Sip was surrendered to SPCR with a few reasons noted. One, the resident cat was not comfortable with his rambunctiousness. Two, he was purchased from a (backyard) breeder a woman who fully expected this cat to form an extremely close and immediate bond with her. Being a furry young scoundrel with boundless energy, Sipowitz was far more interested in wrestling with the large resident dogs, and thundering around his domain. And the last reason - a small umbilical hernia - they didn't have funds to fix. It took days for him to decompress and settle in. Once his foster mom was able to handle him, she noticed a very large protrusion on his abdomen. After many trips to vets, phone consultations, and a SPCR fund raising drive to cover the significant vet bills (THANK YOU!!) Sipowitz was fixed up by the amazing staff at the University of Minnesota. This young man has healed both physically and emotionally and is ready to have his own home. He will need a 4 legged friend that is not easily intimidated by a playmate and companion. As a young cat, Sip has his wildman moments, but also loves a good snuggle and biscuit-making session with his people. Occasionally, he gets carried away and tries to give love nips (not hard, and immediate stops when directed). A home with cat savvy school age children will be considered, younger than that would not be a good fit. ADOPTION FEE $400. FOSTERED IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN
