About Bear

Lab / Pointer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet sweet Bear! Bear is a 10 month old hound/lab/retriever mix puppy that weights about 50 pounds. Right now he is a pretty chill puppy as puppies go! Not overly hyper, just playful. He happily bounces through the house keeping close to his foster family. His foster family is working on basic commands and because he is very motivated by food, it seems like he will be pretty easy to train. Bear is doing quite well being house broken, but does need to be let out regularly during the day, but he does make it all night in a crate without having to go potty and has never pooped in the house. Chew toys and bones make Bear very happy as he seeks out something to chew if not given a good option. Bear is not a huge fan of the crate, but foster family is gradually extending his time in the crate when they leave the house and have found that he does settle down and stay quiet in the crate when left alone and he sleeps in the crate all night. He gets along great with other dogs and children and will make a great pet for a family that is committed to continuing training this smart, handsome dog. Bear will be an loyal, loving family dog for the lucky family that welcomes him into their home and hearts! Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
