Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! Hi! My name is Pikachu.....haha..no, I am not a small, yellow, rodent like creature as featured in Pokemon. I am an adorable, 5 pound, 5 month old, male Chihuahua puppy! Foster Mum says that I am just as cute as the original Pikachu!! My foster mom says I have lots of smarts in my noggin, and have lots of sweet puppy energy. To prove to you how smarts I am, here is a Haiku I wrote for you about me. Ahem, here goes: Sproing, Sproing, Zoom This is how to describe me wont you show me love? Thank you, thank you! I will admit, I asked foster mom to help me type the words. I am not a very fast typer, because I don't gots no thumbs! Foster mom says I have springs for legs, but that is silly. I have puppy legs, they are not made from springs! Dont get me wrong, I love to cuddle too. I just need some time to get all my sproings out before I can settle down. I am a little guy, but have a lot of energy I will be the perfect size for walking and lap cuddling when I am full grown. I am doing really well on crate training, and can hold my business in all night. If I do have an accident, I am really good about making it on the piddle pads. Sometimes, I get lonely when my foster mom leaves me to go to work, but if she leaves me treat games in my crate, it gives me something to focus my brain on, and I will stay very quiet until she comes back to take me on an adventure. I love going for walks, and am great with all the dogs that I meet. I also do great with cats. I like to wrassle with them, but am always very respectful when they dont want to play anymore. I was listening to the radio the other day, and a I heard a song about me and you! How cool is that! I am going to sing it for you now: 'Take a Chance on Me, thats all I ask of you honey, take a chance on me! We can go dancing, we can go walking, as long as were together. Listen to some music, maybe just talking, Take a Chance on MEEEEEEEE!' As you can see, I am a puppy of many talents. I can sing and write poetry. If you would like a live encore to this song, Take a Chance on Me, please send in your application. I cant wait to meet you.
